VENDOR POLICIES

  1. Purpose

The Murieta Equestrian Center (hereafter referred to as “MEC”) designated vendor area. The purpose of the designated vendor area is to complement the various events held at MEC.

  1. General

MEC shall have full power to interpret theses regulations.  Matters not covered by the rules shall be subject to final decision by MEC.  These regulations may be amended at any time by MEC upon written notice by MEC to such exhibitors as may be affected by them.  This set of exhibition rules when signed by both parties shall be considered a binding agreement.

The selling/giving away of alcohol, food or food products, tobacco products, or beverages will be prohibited.

  1. Liability

Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the MEC, MEC agents, officers and employees from all claims, losses, costs, damages or expenses resulting or arising from any and all injuries of any person, or damage to any property caused by an act, omission or neglect of vendor’s agents, employees, invitees, contractors, or guests, which occur in or about the vendor space.  Vendor agrees to use and occupy the vendor space at vendor’s own risk, and hereby releases MEC, its agents, officers, employees and invitees from all claims for any damage, loss or injury to persons or property to the full extent permitted by law occurring in or about the vendor space, including, but not limited to, damages resulting from the acts of other vendors, theft, vandalism, fire and other casualty damage, or damage arising from any defects in the premises.

  1. Eligible Exhibits

MEC reserves the right to deny exhibit space to any individual, company, product or promotion, which in its opinion is not in keeping with the character and purpose of the vendor area.  MEC also reserves the right to limit the number of booths selling similar merchandise at each event.

  1. Assignment of Space

Consideration will be given to returning vendors, availability of requested area, the amount of space requested and the special needs and compatibility of vendors.

Vendors requesting and submitting a contract for those events that require one are not guaranteed a space.  MEC reserves the right to place and assign the vendor location according to the needs of the show.

  1. Arrival Dates

Arrival and departure dates for each event will be stated and must be respected.  Any vendor that does not comply with stated arrival and departure dates may lose the rights to return to MEC as a vendor.

ANY VENDOR THAT SETS UP ON THE BERM: We require that you set up the day before the show, please unload your vehicle and relocate it in the parking area a.s.a.p. Any comings and goings of merchandise must be hand carried to your trailer/vehicle. This must be done prior to the show starting, or after the last class in the outdoor arena.

  1. Insurance

A certificate of General Liability Insurance for one million dollars ($1,000,000) must be provided to MEC naming the Murieta Equestrian Center as an additional insured, to exhibit at any event.  This requirement will be strictly enforced.

  1. Refunds

There will be no refunds for any reason, regardless of whether or not the vendor occupies the space for any portion of the event.

  1. Care of vendor space

All empty merchandise boxes must be broken down and thrown away in the designated receptacle by the end of the show.   Please do not leave them by the garbage cans in the vendor area for MEC staff to dispose of.  All vendor spaces must be left in the same condition as you arrive, this means pick up all zip ties, water bottles, and any other trash before you leave.

MEC WILL NOT STORE ANY DISPLAY ITEMS AND OR MERCHANDISE.   ANY ITEMS LEFT BEHIND WILL NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF MEC.

ALL VEHICLES MUST BE MOVED TO PARKING AREA AND CANNOT STAY PARKED NEXT TO VENDOR AREA/SPACE. 

  1. Electrical Usage

Please note that the power supply is limited and all spaces will be assigned by MEC.

  1. New owner clause

In the event that a current vendor sells a majority interest in his/her business, the new owner will not be entitled to any “returning owner” status, and will be considered a new vendor.
